Terry Stecz
Chief Executive Officer and President
Terry joined Edison in August 2004 as the company's chief operating officer and assumed the additional title of president in April 2005. In January 2007, he became chief executive officer and president.
Before joining Edison, Terry served as President Consumer Healthcare, Americas, for Pharmacia, a $14 billion healthcare company with products that included Celebrex and Nicorette. During his tenure at Pharmacia, Terry played a key role in establishing the division as one of the fastest growing in operating profits and revenue in its industry. Prior to Pharmacia, Terry spent more than 19 years at American Home Products, a $16 billion pharmaceutical enterprise where he rose rapidly through the ranks. By 1990, Terry was President of A.H. Robins and by 1994, President of Whitehall Robins, a $1.4 billion division of AHP that produces market leaders Advil and Centrum. Terry also served as President of Alberto Culver USA, Inc. (consumer products).
Terry graduated from Xavier University (Ohio) in 1977 and received a Masters of Science in Jurisprudence, with a concentration in health and intellectual property law from Seton Hall University’s School of Law in 2004.
In 2006, Terry was selected along with fourteen other prominent education leaders and business executives to participate in The Broad Superintendents Academy, which is run by The Broad Center for the Management of School Systems, and funded by The Broad Foundation. The Academy’s executive training program prepares top leaders from business, non-profit, government and education sectors to lead urban public school systems. The Foundation’s education efforts are focused on dramatically improving urban K-12 public education through better governance, management, labor relations and competition. In 2007, Terry graduated as a Fellow from The Academy.
