Lee joined Edison in June, 2005 from the University of Pennsylvania, where, as vice president of Business Services, he was responsible for overseeing the university's major commercial enterprise(s) with a total revenue of $200 million and more than 600 employees.
His early career included management positions with several banking institutions. He later served as vice president for business development and vice president for human and information resources at the National Basketball Association. At the NBA, key initiatives included extending the NBA brand, recruitment, strategic planning and the NBA University. Prior to joining the University of Pennsylvania, Lee served as managing director, Global Corporate Investment Bank and senior client manager for BankAmerica Securities LLC.
Lee serves on the Plan Performance and Financial Standards Committee for Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Inc. He has served as the national president of National Black MBA Association and is a former member of the Board of Trustees at Lafayette College. He has also served on the board of directors for Pitney Bowes, Inc., the West Philadelphia Partnership, and other non-profit organizations.
Lee received an undergraduate degree in history from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. While working at the University of Pennsylvania he completed an EdD in Higher Education Management.
