Laura has been with Edison since its inception in 1992 and has served the company in a variety of capacities, including investor relations and capital formation. She is a long-time associate of Edison’s CEO and founder Chris Whittle. Prior to joining Edison, Laura was Vice Chairman of Whittle Communications, a company she served for 24 years in numerous positions. Her roles there ranged from managing editorial operations for the company’s publications to heading research and product development. She also ran a sales and marketing division, handled public affairs for the launch of Whittle Communications’ high-profile Channel One and managed major equity transactions.
Laura is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Tennessee and holds an MA in English from the University of Florida. She is a former president of the Tennessee Women’s Forum and currently serves on the board of Leadership Knoxville.
