Eileen joined Edison in December 2005 after spending nine years at Barnes & Noble College Booksellers, Inc., a $1.5 billion college bookstore outsourcing organization operating more than 500 college/university bookstores nationwide, selling textbooks, trade books, school supplies, collegiate clothing, and emblematic merchandise. During her time at Barnes & Noble, Eileen architected and implemented the technology strategy and business processes that drove the conversion from a highly manual to a fully automated operation. She led a technology team in the development of turnkey, scalable system solutions handling all merchandising, receiving, sales processing, payables and credit operations for both in-store and on-line businesses. This was all done during a time when the business more than doubled in size.

Prior to that, Eileen worked for R. H. Macy & Co., Inc. in a variety of positions, most recently as the Vice President of Application Development, where she designed the industry's first national bridal registry system for Macy's East, South and West divisions. In addition, she directed the rollout of a $55 million point-of-sale system supporting a network ranging from 100 to 750 registers per store location.

Eileen received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management Information Systems from Pace University.
