Emerson-Edison Academy
Special Activities
Step Up to Writing
Thanks to the families that attended the
Step Up to Writing training. Families left with a much better understanding
of the writing process and helpful ideas to encourage and guide their students.
The more parents are involved with school work, the more kids will know
that school success is important. Watch for another Step Up training in
the next few months.
Box Tops for Education
Emerson-Edison Academy is participating
in the Box Tops for Education program. Box Tops can be found on hundreds
of your favorite products and are worth 10 cents each for our school. Save
and turn in your Box Tops to the school, EEA could earn up to $20,000.
Emerson-Edison Academy is pleased to
be a part of the Anything That Tears Program
The large turquoise colored recycle bin
located off our front parking lot is the place to drop off anything that
tears; newspapers, magazines, catalogs, office paper, and junk mail, that
often accumulate around the home and our school. Help us educate the children
of our community to the benefits of recycling materials, and Emerson-Edison
Academy can earn much needed money to benefit the kids in our school. The
bin is available for public drop off 7 days a week for your convenience.
Help us recycle and reduce excess paper!
New After School Activities
Emerson-Edison Academy has added a number
of new Clubs following a survey of student's desires last year. New Clubs
include; the Cooking Club, the Drama Club, a Model Car Club, Weight Training,
Soccer, and Step/Cheer. Participation in after school activities is yet
another way for a child to find success and feel connected to school. Our
goal is for every child to participate in at least one after school activity
this school year.
