Student Achievement Is Our First Priority
In this era of NCLB and AYP, school districts across the country are facing the difficult challenge of improving student achievement to meet increasingly rigorous standards.
Over the past 10+ years Edison Schools has invested considerable time and focus on research and development to create comprehensive systems and a world-class school design that help our partner districts drive student achievement. Our curriculum is selected from the top providers in the country to help teachers reach all, including their most challenging, students and our own Benchmark Assessment System is unmatched in its ability to evaluate student progress against state standards and provide teachers with immediate feedback on how to help students reach their goals.
In hundreds of communities across the country, our partners have proven that this system works. Achievement results are up across the system; parent, student, and teacher satisfaction is well above that in comparable schools; and our partners are making consistent gains in closing the Achievement Gap.
