Edison respects the need for standardized tests. In fact, our contracts with boards of education and other authorities specify state and district standardized tests as one of the indicators by which our schools will be judged. Therefore we have taken all necessary steps to ensure that our program is successful by standardized measures. In particular, all programs have been selected to correlate well with major tests. The core reading and mathematics programs have unusually strong records of boosting student achievement. Our schools are organized to provide strong support for all students in building a foundation of basic skills.
