The Edison school design organizes teachers into teams so they can:

Share observations and discuss ways to
     help individual students
Compare notes about what works and
what doesn't in the area of curriculum,
     instructional approaches, and materials
     specified for their academy
Help one another solve problems and celebrate
     successes
Coordinate their instruction so that activities
in one subject reinforce learning in others
Learn by observing one another and offering
     comments and suggestions
Form successful collaborations through
workshops and seminars that help build
     communication skills
