Since our first schools opened in 1995, intensives have been a popular part of the instructional program. Individual Edison schools have developed intensive projects on a variety of topics, from the rainforest to the ancient Egyptians. This year, Edison Schools launched its first national intensive project, Our Amazing Century, designed to provide every school in our system with a year-long exploration of the great people, great inventions, great works, and great events that shaped the century in which we all were born.
