Particularly important for accommodating the important work of projects are the one- to three-week intervals reserved at the end of every quarter for what we call "intensives." At these times, students undertake ambitious projects, analyze complex problems and pursue specialized avenues of inquiry that are beyond the scope of the regular daily schedule.
