Position Summary:
Job Summary:
To provide business development support to Developers in the areas of territory planning and research to support sales objectives.

Main Responsibilities and Time Requirement:
Ø Day-to-day support of Developers prospecting needs including: research term sheets/proposals, CRM mining and updating, internal liaising, communications. Provide effective operational support to Regional Directors, including identification of new legislation or press releases that may impact the strategy. 65%
Ø Plan development, research and updating including: School District key metrics. Work closely with each Developer to help construct and update the State and Territory Plans. 25%
Ø Management reporting support (forecasting, RFP development, sales trend analysis, etc). Support the Director of Sales Operations and sales head in forecasting and planning and RFP Development. 10%

Key Relationships:
Able to develop effective working relationships with the Business Development Team, particularly to provide detailed operational support to the DSO, including research, data management, sourcing and RFP support. Also able to establish cross functional relationships and credibility within Edison to ensure support can be easily garnered when required to undertake research and determine work processes. The cross functional relationships include the Edison Exec Team, members from Finance, General Counsel, Education and Technology.

Special Skills/Experience Required:
Background:
Ø 2-5 years of marketing experience or research and sales support
Ø Experience in project management of complex service, sales, and support operations
Ø Experience undertaking extensive research and demonstrating resourcefulness
Ø Strong understanding of State and National education legislation including NCLB to assist in identifying data trends or relevant information to support sales plans and strategy
Ø Basic understanding of the concepts behind RFP development, sales forecasting and sales planning
Ø Must be highly competent using MS Office Suite of Applications (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and comfortable embracing new software applications as they get introduced into the Division
Ø Experience working with customer relationship management databases including data extraction and analysis
Ø Bachelors degree required
