Position Summary:
The primary role of the Data Owner is to ensure the integrity of the Edison SASIxp and CLASSxp datbases, by maintaining the student information on a daily basis. These databases capture several pieces of student information including attendance, nutrition and class schedules. This person is responsible for ensuring the student information in Edison Student Information Systems databases is available, accurate and up to date. The Data Owner helps staff to find, evaluate, and use database information information. The Data Owner reports to the Technology Manager.

Responsibilities:

·Become an expert user on all Student Information Systems, including SASIxp, CLASSxp, Edison Select, grade book (InteGrade Pro), Benchmarks and any other Edison SASI related software as implemented
·Maintain Database integrity and follow database protocol
·Provide Student Enrollment Information reports as requested and in a timely manner
·Provide instructions to SPED and LEP Coordinators on maintenance of student / Provide instructions to the Academy Director on maintenance of student discipline information in SASI
·Register and enroll all new students using Edison Select and/or Edison SASIxp
·The Data Owner is responsible for integrating schedules into Edison SASIxp as created by the Principal, and meeting deadlines
·Provide user support and Professional Development to teachers on use of the attendance system (CLASSxp) and electronic grade book (InteGrade Pro)
·Work with other school personnel and owners of portions of student data including, but not limited to, School Nurse, Special Education Coordinator, Registrar, Secretaries, Academy Directors, Counselors, Principal, and Student Information Specialist
·Ensure that Edison SASI student information systems are backed up daily and available to staff at all times. Ensure the monthly zipped backup files are delivered to the Student Information Specialist (SIS) as requested by SIS in a timely manner
·Responsible for help-desk services regarding Edison SASIxp and CLASSxp for school users
·Assist in training that will be conducted for all Edison computer users at times that are conducive to their schedules including Saturdays, before and after school



Special Skills/Experience Required:
·Bachelor's degree preferred
·Detail oriented and ability to multi-tasking
·2-3 years experience with clerical tasks such as data entry, etc.
·Background in technology with experience working with databases in a Windows environment preferred
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·Some experience in a K-12 setting desirable
·Ability to be flexible and adaptable
