HR Assistant

Position Summary:
· Maintain personnel files and related records for all employees.
· Serve as liaison to employees with questions/concern relating to benefits, policies, and procedures.
· Create new hires in HRIS/ADP Payroll system.
· Enter in background check and required clearances into HRIS/ADP Payroll system.
· Process payroll documents, ensuring times entry is completed and processed accordingly.
· Coordinate employment verification for employee(s) when requested.
· Process and maintain unemployment claims.
· Ensure data integrity and audit HRIS/ADP Payroll system data.
· Records data and furnishes reports.
· Assist with special projects as assigned.
· Distribute mail, faxes, and correspondence.
· Maintain and oversee assigned groups/teams workload.
· Serve as a backup to Human Resources Administrative Manager when necessary.



Special Skills/Experience Required:
· College degree strongly desired or equivalent experience.
· Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel
· Previous background in human resources preferred.
· Prefer at least six months experience in payroll administration, particularly with ADP, a strong plus.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work with minimum supervision.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks successfully.
· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
