Payroll Accounting Supervisor

Position Summary:

Primary Function:

Responsible for supervising the GL, Tax and Payroll accounting process. Ensures proper distribution to general ledger expense accounts and that payment are made in the timely and accurate manner.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

* Receive and decrypt ADP General Ledger files.

* Responsible for supervising and preparing balance sheet reconciliation.

* Create tax entry for each tax wire done during the month.

* Prepare monthly ADP invoice expense entry.

* Prepare monthly payroll benchmark reports.

* Prepare biweekly termination and new hire report.

* Process Headquarter payroll entries.

* Provide data /reports as required.

* Supervises proper filing and storage of records in case of federal of state income tax audit.

* Responsible for preparation of final journal upload.

* Prepare and balance all payroll funding requests.



Special Skills/Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree required, with accounting or business administration and three year's experience in accounting.

Three to four years of computerized accounting experience is required, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Strong organization and analytical skills as well as an ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff.

Minimum of two years experience with ADP systems required.
