National Curriculum Coordinator - Reading Alliance

Position Summary:
Alliance Reading National Curriculum Coordinators (NCC), in conjunction with an Achievement VP, support student achievement by providing direct support to principals and teachers of schools in their region. They provide pre-service and ongoing training to staff at both national conferences and at school sites. They are in schools approximately 80% of the time during the school calendar year. Alliance Reading NCCs work closely with regional and central instructional support staff and assist in monitoring the implementation of core programs in classrooms. They develop materials and establish protocols that support their work.



Special Skills/Experience Required:
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Reading, Literacy or curriculum and instruction or ten+ years experience teaching reading in a K- 12 setting.
- Minimum of two years experience as a Curriculum Coach (or similar position) required.
- Must possess excellent research, written, and oral communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and directed.
