| Site Director (PT -afterschool program) Location: Baltimore, MD School: SES - Newton Learning Position Summary: The Site Director is responsible for establishing strong relationships with principals, teachers, and teacher assistants and managing the operations of Newton Learnings Supplemental Education Services (SES) after-school programs. Additional responsibilities include, oversight of all facilities/building issues and administration including but not limited to management of floor plans, building tours, identifying specific room locations, custodial services, and storage space. Completing local purchases for materials, supplies, and student incentives with Regional Operations Manager (ROM). Duties: Ø Recruit and hire teachers, teacher assistants, clerical support and substitutes; Ø Manage the budget for purchases of materials, supplies and incentive items; Ø Establish regular staff meetings to convey all after-school program issues including but not limited to class lists, rotation of students, parent newsletter and teacher handbook distribution, daily schedules, program format, floor plans, emergency evacuation procedures, fire drill procedures, illness/injury procedures and employee relations issues; Ø Communicate staff assignments and rotation to teachers and teacher assistants; Ø Manage staff rotation according to student enrollment ratios; Ø Establish and manage procedures for the distribution of materials throughout the program with assistance from ROM; Ø Determine a system for managing enrollment forms (student rosters, notebooks); Ø Manage student attendance procedures including but not limited to daily rosters for teachers and teacher assistants for absenteeism, sign in/out sheets, student attendance tracking; Ø Develop description/format of after-school program; behavior management and student incentive programs with ROM; Ø Conduct additional recruiting of students with assistance of ROM and district contact; Ø Determine number of students who will be attending each program and processing enrollment forms with ROM; Ø Develop and manage parent information communications via newsletter/handbook including but not limited to: ____discipline and incentive plan ____procedures for picking-up students using sign in/out sheets ____program format ____student schedule sample ____school contact phone numbers ____After-school staff listing ____program locations within school building ____dismissal procedures ____snacks ____illness/injury procedures ____hours of program ____days in session ____inclement weather procedures ____late pick-up procedures for students ____late payment procedures for parents Ø Set-up and attend meetings with principals at eligible SES schools regarding the Newton Learning educational program; Ø Identify suitable and available facilities for off-site SES program (if needed).
