Title: Financial Analyst Location: NY Department: Finance (Planning & Analysis) Reports to VP, Planning & Analysis Position Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing corporate data across all product lines, providing Plan versus Actual variance analysis for senior management, guiding Edison executives on annual corporate financial performance, conducting due diligence on new and existing product financial models, general accounting functions, and performing ad hoc financial analysis. The Analyst will work closely with the VP of Planning and Analysis. The position is the focal point for much of the financial information flowing from the individual HQ departments and product lines to the Finance team. The ideal candidate will combine communication skills with financial analysis and some accounting experience. Responsibilities include: · Providing modeling, accounting, and investment analysis · As part of the annual budget process, coordinating with product line controllers and other HQ departments to create annual cash flow, balance sheet, and income statements. · Reviewing allocation metrics for direct support and overhead costs charged to business lines. · Providing budget to actual variance analysis. · Meeting with HQ budget managers to review results and revise annual forecasts · Reviewing training needs for identified HQ budget managers.
