![]() Edison announces expansions of 3 schools in California, Ohio and Pennsylvania Thursday, April 26, 2001 Edison Schools announced that school expansions are underway at Edison schools in three regions around the country, including West Covina, California; Dayton, Ohio; and Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. These expansions represent a total increase of approximately 395 students. An expansion of San Jose-Edison Academy in West Covina, California, will add grade 8 to the school as well as an extra classroom of seventh graders for fall 2001. This expansion will increase enrollment by approximately 128 students. Two Edison schools in Dayton, Ohio, will expand for fall 2001. Dayton View Academy, which will add a sixth grade, will be able to serve an additional 166 students. Dayton Academy will expand to include seventh grade, and will serve an additional 192 students overall. Renaissance Academy-Edison Charter in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, will be adding grade 9 beginning in the fall of 2001. The school will expand to serve an additional 75 students overall.
