Edison is Extending its Network of Schools to Wisconsin and New York

Edison Schools will be adding Wisconsin and New York to its growing network of schools around the country. This most recent contract brings the number of states in which Edison will manage schools to 19 plus the District of Columbia. .

The Milwaukee Academy of Science will open its doors in the fall of 2000 to 914 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 7. The parties plan for the school to expand each year, with an expected enrollment of 1,455 pre-kindergarten through 12th graders by the 2003-04 school year.

This fall, the Rochester Charter School of Science and Technology will open in Rochester, New York, with an enrollment of approximately 900 students in K-8. Under the charter arrangement, one grade will be added each year, with a projected enrollment of 1,300 K-12 students in the 2004-2005 school year.
