![]() Edison Schools Announces Expansion of Operations in Dayton, Ohio Monday, July 10, 2000 Edison Schools announced that it will expand operations in Dayton, Ohio. With this expansion, Edison will now operate two schools in Dayton. Starting this fall, Edison Schools, with its partner Alliance Community Schools, Inc., will manage Dayton View Academy. The school will serve an estimated 648 students in grades K-5. Under the terms of the 5-year contract, the school will expand one grade per year, with an expected enrollment of 1150 K-8 students by the fall of 2003. Based upon Edison's original contract with Alliance Community Schools, enrollment at the Dayton Academy, an elementary school that currently serves 602 K-5 students, will increase. The school will expand one grade per year with an expected enrollment of approximately 1150 K-8 students in the fall of 2002.
