![]() The Edison National System of Schools Continues to Grow The number of Edison schools nationwide has increased to 79 up from 51 in the 1998-99 school year. Schools are opening in ten new cities, five new states, and in many of Edison's existing locations. New Edison cities are: Chicago, Illinois; Dayton, Ohio; Fresno, California; Kansas City, Missouri; Macon, Georgia; Whitakers, North Carolina; Peoria, Illinois; Royal Oak, Michigan; Davenport, Iowa and Tyler, Texas. New states are Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio. Following the expected openings, Edison will operate in 16 states and in the District of Columbia. Edison opened its first four schools in 1995 and enrollment has grown consistently each year. Back to News... |
