Court Decision on ACORN's request

The following excerpt is taken from a New York City Board of Education press release.

Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Joseph Dowdy denied ACORN's request for a temporary court order that would give it access to the names and telephone numbers of the parents in five schools proposed to be converted to charter status under management of Edison Schools. ACORN had sought the names and numbers to conduct a telephone campaign to oppose the charter conversion of the schools.
