Edison recently announced an historic five-year partnership with IBM to create a brand new, cutting-edge technology model that Edison will use in its schools to educate our students. As a part of the agreement, IBM will provide complete computer hardware and software technology, including classroom computers, teacher laptops, home computers, and network systems and support to schools.

Under the terms of this alliance, IBM will work closely with Edison to develop a next generation of computers specifically tailored for school and student use. Edison has also licensed IBM's Tivoli enterprise network management software, which has the capability to provide support for computers, network devices and servers for up to 250,000 students
