DPSA - Dedicated to the Pursuit of Student Achievement...

The Duluth Public Schools Academy Edison Charter School was established in the fall of 1997 with the creation of Kenwood Edison Charter School and Edison Central Junior Academy.    The Junior Academy moved to a new building in the fall of 1999 and became Washburn Edison.  This same year Raleigh Edison opened their doors in West Duluth.  These three schools form the DPSA Edison School District, District number 4020.  For more information on charter schools read the editorial written by our Head of School, Bonnie Jorgenson - Debunking the Myths About Charter Schools.  The editorial was originally published in the Duluth News Tribune on March 4, 2005.
