Marketing/Communications Intern

Position Summary:
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will participate in a number of projects related to marketing and communications at Edisonlearning, an Education Management Company. This is not a paid internship. The candidate must be eligible to receive credits from his/her school. Specific tasks will be:

Education:

Ø Register teachers, principals, and other participants for the summer conferences

Ø Prepare welcome packets

Ø Enter conference session evaluations into the system

Ø General tasks associated with conference logistics

Ø Document College Board product specs including application, financial aide, acceptance counseling practices professional learning community best practices

Ø Analysis of data-driven decision making practice in high performing schools



Marketing:

Ø Conferences and events: Support the effort to stage both internal and external conferences and events, including registration, materials, and logistics.

Ø Marketing Materials: assist in the development of print and online materials such as sell sheets, school flyers, web pages, and other communications.

Ø Marketing campaigns: coordinate efforts (materials, data, vendors, etc.) to execute and analyze traditional and online marketing campaigns that target educators, parents, and students. This may include but not be limited to advertising, direct mail, email, and webinars.

Ø Public Affairs and Communications: Assist with the creation of press kits and information packets for events; Research information and/or images for corporate presentations; write stories/briefs for employee newsletters



Special Skills/Experience Required:
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ø Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ø Professional demeanor
Ø Experience using Microsoft Office
Ø Internet research skills
Ø Well organized with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently
Ø Ability to meet deadlines
Ø Interest in pursuing a career in Education Management, Marketing and/or Communications
Ø Must be eligible to receive college credits for internship participation
