Recruitment Intern

Position Summary:
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Recruitment Manager, the intern will participate in a number of projects related to recruitment and on-boarding of new hires at Edisonlearning, an Education Management Company. Specific tasks will be:
Ø Participate in recruitment team meetings and professional development sessions
Ø Post and update all job postings on a number of different target recruitment sites nationally
Ø Research and compile industry best practice data regarding postings, hiring criteria, customer surveys etc.
Ø Assist regional recruiters with new hire paperwork, tax forms, and background checks
Ø Conduct professional reference checks for prospective candidates
Ø Assist with special projects as necessary
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Currently enrolled in a BA or MA degree program; Student studying or interested in Human Resources preferred.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Ø Internal: HR administration, payroll, Accounts Payable and Technology
Ø External: Job fair organizers, job board vendors, and background check vendors

COMPENSATION: Must be eligible to receive college credit, as the internship is unpaid.
