The after-school programs are winding down as the last of the working parents pick up their children. Some nights this marks the end of the Edison day, but on others, it's the beginning of evening programs involving family members. It might be a curriculum night where parents and other adults can get a hands-on introduction to the reading and math programs.
Today there's a "Family Tech Night." Parents can bring in their school-provided computers for help in troubleshooting problems or using certain functions. Frustration turns to fun as Edison families meet one another and solidify relationships with school staff.
