Disaster Recovery Manager

Position Summary:
Edison Schools Inc. is seeking a Disaster Recovery Manager to oversee and manage the consistent delivery of the Disaster Recovery Program for the line of business through a network of infrastructure, business applications and regional business.
Responsibilities:
· Develop emergency operating procedures; and Information systems' data processing recovery procedures.
· Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for all locations and functions. .
· Work with various organizational levels, develop and manage plan updates and testing schedules; identify risks and clearly communicate them; and work with management to prioritize, define, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
· Manage the ongoing communication, testing, and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
· Develops and performs a risk analysis and business impact analysis with regards to Disaster Recovery.
Special Skills/Experience Required:
· Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college/university
· One or more BCP/DR certifications: Certified Business Continuity Planner (DRI) (BCI), Certified Recovery Planner (U of Richmond), Certified Disaster Recovery Planner
· Disaster Recovery Planning minimum of 5 years current experience, including risk assessment, strategy development, testing & program management
· Demonstrated ability to manage disaster preparedness/recovery programs and knowledge of disaster recovery methodology.
· Proven motivational skills, managing both local and remote teams
· Excellent communications skills including presentation of proposals & reporting at senior business management level, conflict-resolution & proven influencing & negotiation skills.
· A team player supportive, sharing of ideas and experience
· Strong project and team management skills
