Position Summary:
The Regional Advisor plays a key role in helping the Development team build awareness of Newton Learning's Supplemental Education Services (SES) program within an assigned geographic market. Regional Advisors are primarily responsible for identifying key school and district officials in addition to working closely with the District Title I offices. Newton Learning is a division within Edison Schools responsible for providing high quality summer and after school programs across the nation. In 2003, the program served over 46,000 students in grades K-12. Duties include: ·Utilizing a vast network of educational contacts within an Supplemental Education Service (SES) target community to support the development process; ·Setting up and attending meeting with principals at eligible SES schools regarding Newton Learning's educational programs; ·Determining SES processes at participating districts; ·Identifying sites which have students eligible for SES services; ·Determining facilities use policy with potential sites; ·Locating suitable facilities for off-site SES programs (if needed).
Special Skills/Experience Required:
Job Requirements: .Five years experience as principal, assistant principal, or senior level district administrator .Extensive an established network of educational contacts within a particular community .Strong interpersonal/presentation skills.
Terms: Varies by region. Average $300-$350/day plus potential bonus. 3-5 days depending on program duration with an opportunity take on a larger role.
