Position Summary:

Position Summary:
Reports to the Vice-President of Revenue & Grants and is responsible for the overall performance of the Grants Department, to include the following responsibilities:
· Compliance with Federal, State and other grant's financial and programmatic requirements;
· Compliance with the provisions of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Law that relate to grants management;
· Assurance that all grants, whether categorical (Federally "Titled" funding), discretionary or e-rate, are monitored through their "life cycle" to insure maximum entitlement;
· Assistance is provided for grant applications and reporting activities; and,
· Generation of increased discretionary grants revenue through grants prospecting research, writing and editing proposals, preparing and editing reports and monitoring grant project performance.

Responsibilities:
Grants Goals Achievement
· Work closely with each line of business, student achievement and administrative management teams to ensure the successful implementation and execution of the education program at all schools by obtaining, utilizing and complying with available grants' requirements.
· Provide feedback on all grants' implementation and identify areas where improvement is needed.
· Ensure, through the monitoring processes, that appropriate resources are being devoted to successful implementation of the grants' plan.
· Present grant achievement results as appropriate.
· Must understand the individual configurations/demographics of each school, specific client demands and our unique student population and provide grant technical assistance to match the need.
· Resolve issues that arise.

Staff Development
· Responsible for the selection, training, evaluation and motivation of assigned staff.
· Provide feedback and work with all concerned to ensure professional presentation in all aspects of the responsibilities assigned
· Frequently observe and monitor the day-to-day activities and ensure effectiveness.
· Professional growth and development of staff.

Additional Responsibilities
· Work effectively with all to ensure the timely delivery of services to clients.
· Be sensitive to client needs and work cooperatively to achieve the collective goals of all stakeholders.
· Respond to concerns from any and all seeking grant assistance or information
· Provide leadership in all aspects of grants management and compliance.
· Representing the organization and professionally representing same to clients
· Others responsibilities as assigned



Special Skills/Experience Required:
Qualifications:
· Minimum of ten years management experience in education or business with demonstrated success in grant management, client service, financial management and human resources.
· Four-year college degree. Graduate degree a plus.
· Must have a "detail" orientation and be able to handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
· Must be proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
· Strong interpersonal skills needed to interface effectively with all stakeholders.
· Must be able to manage efficiently and effectively within the confines and opportunities constantly being presented.
